That was fast! After de-committing from Rutgers last week, Archbishop Wood Senior Anthony Russo has chosen to play his college ball at Temple University.
Russo chose to stay home even after getting a visit from LSU Head Coach Les Miles and Offensive Coordinator Cam Cameron.
Russo completed 134 of 200 throws for 2,452 yards and 35 TD’s for the Vikings in leading them to the PIAA Class AAA Title.
According to reports LSU did not offer a scholarship to Russo when Miles visited instead wanting him to make an official visit to the campus before extending an offer.
Russo’s commitment gives Temple two 3 star QB’s in the 2016 recruiting class. They had previously inked Montel Aaron, a 6″5′ 200 lb QB from Antelope High in California.
So it looks like Temple is capitalizing on their stellar season by inking some big time talent and the addition of Russo goes a long way in proving it.
