DP4 Podcast – Episode 6 : FREE AGENCY!!!!

In this episode Joey starts the show out with a sweet little Matt Cord introduction for our boy EA! This intro really sets the tone for the episode, excitement! Joey then talks about the sick Thursday the Eagles had in NFL Free Agency. He talks about the Torrey Smith deal and how it would be a great deal if the Eagles didn’t stop there, which they didn’t. The Alshon Jeffery deal has Joey in awe and literally gushing over the opportunities this deal creates for not only the Eagles, but for Alshon as well. JG talks about the depth of the WR position, and strategizes in early March for potential nightmares opponents will face while game planning for the Eagles offense next season. With all the talks of the WR signings, Joey talks about what he believes to be one of the most critical signings of the whole free agency period in 2017, the addition of Chance Warmack. Howie Roseman and Joe Douglas had a great day on Thursday and they deserve to be applauded.
With great addition there’s heavy subtraction. The Eagles released Connor Barwin Thursday morning. Joey, with a heavy heart, talks about how great of a guy the team and city will lose, yet understands why the team had to part ways. With that, JG discusses how upset he will be if the team cannot resign DT Bennie Logan. Logan is a critical part to the Eagles run defense, yet JG understands there may not be any cash left for the big guy out of LSU.

Joey discusses a few deals from Friday, with the biggest being a trade for the Patriots, who acquired WR Brandin Cooks from the Saints.

On the Final segment of the show JG talks a bit about the NFL draft and explains why he wants the Eagles to build the cornerback position through the draft. He then throws some CB names at you who the Eagles could potentially land in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

If you’re an NFL/Eagles nut who follows the free agency period and NFL Draft in a trance just like you follow a girl with a fat ass, then this is the show for you!
